Thanks for this email. I really think that it was a great message about power. I had recently found a video on a DVD we use called power of the priesthood. Actually, Brother Munoa is the actor in it, its quite good. It talks about when we do what is right and when we fulfil our responsibilities as priesthood holders we are entitled to use that power of the priesthood. We must strive each and every day not only to resist from temptation and refrain from things that would not permit us to use the power, but to do things that give us more power that we can draw closer to our Father in Heaven and what he is trying to teach us. We must learn as much as we can while we are still in this life, because we wont ever get it back and we can progress the most when on this earth.
I am so glad to hear that you all are doing great! The cousins, trafalga, golfing! how do you lose. I am doing really well with my Book of Mormon reading. I am in Alma 35 now and the book is getting filled with highlights showing that it is all about the Savior, I cant wait to show you. The Book of Mormon challenge has helped me so much on understanding what it is all about. So this is how my week has been...
A lot of events took place this week. First of which, I had an exchange with Elder Burgoyne in Burnley. As I have said many times before, I am a firm believer that miracles happen when you're on an exchange. We had a great exchange and we talked to many people. We even had an on the spot lesson and quite a few appointments set up. One of the appointments we set was with a young woman from Latvia named Baiba. The Elders in Burnley had the lesson with her yesterday (Sunday) and now she is dated for baptism on the 9th of September! I am so glad that we had met her, she is so nice.
Multi-Zone Trainings was so great. I really enjoyed all the lessons we had and I had learned a ton. One that I really liked that the Assistants training was on how to be more effective with the progress record and how we can organize with great detail on the progress records. I had put the training to use this week and utilized the notes section of the progress record. The Ward Mission Leader complimented on it and said that it was a good idea and wants us to continue using it. I still have a way to go though to using the progress record more effectively. I will continue working on it
This week Elder Caballero is going home, so sad. He is leaving a week before the transfer ends so that he can make it home on time for schooling to start. Elder Caballero and I were informed yesterday what will happen this upcoming week because I have no companion from Thursday to Wednesday when transfers happen. So whats happening is that there is another missionary who is going home to Spain at the same time so I get to pair up with his companion Elder Toutua for the week. He is so great and I met him for the first time at trainings. He is a new missionary and he's a Polynesian from New Zealand. We have a busy schedule all the way up to Wednesday and we are ready to work hard for the final stretch for Elder Caballero. I am also excited about spending time with Elder Toutua. I will be looking forward the the great times we have together serving the Lord.

Also, because Elder Caballero is going home soon, he got permission to go to the Preston Temple. We got a member to take us on Wednesday night. I enjoyed it so much and had such a spiritual experience. The Temple here is so awesome! you just have to see it someday. Rob is the member that took us and he is so great. I really think he is the best. He cares for us so much and literally goes out of his way to help us out. He just loves to do the Lords work. He is not just this way for missionaries, he is a strong member with a great testimony.
Well say Hi to everyone for me and I love you very much. Remember its the fifth week of the transfer cycle so you'll get my next email on either Wednesday or Thursday of next week, talk to you then. Have a great week.
Love Elder Corbin
