Thank you for writing me. I really like this letter you sent me, a lot of good uplifting stuff. It is good to know that things are still rollin' back home. Keep up the good work and the Lord will continue to bless the family. I bet that was a great time in California. As much as I miss it i am afraid to go back. haha. I cant even imagine what it'll be like in another year and a half. Travis and Wyatt doing great or what my friend. Uncle Merlin is tearin it up i hear. Tell them I say hi when you get a chance. Riley is really coming along with the free throws huh. tell him to keep working hard everyday.
My proselyting shoes are still in good condition, I really love the mission shoe, it is so light and comfortable. The back side where the heel is on the other shoes, the dansco's, is fraying on the inside but it should do fine. The shoes that I got in Manchester last week are or when I go to do service. I think they should do the trick for the rest of my time in the UK. now I have a pair for when were doing service and the white one that I used for the indoor soccer league for athletic type activities. They are starting to fall apart when I use them too much. I'll let you know when I can put the two year warranty to use, I wouldn't want to pass that up.
I had a really great week. We had two really good activities with the ward. On Wednesday, we had a reach out night when we paired up with members in cars and drove out to Ramsbottom which is the far side of our area and we went by all the less-active members to meet and greet them. I think it was a great success and we have a few people that we're planning on seeing in the near future.
We also had a "MTC" Fireside at the chapel last night. The whole purpose was to motivate the members about missionary work and to prepare a few future missionaries in the ward and get them some practice. We role played some scenarios that we made up and gave to them. We had a pretty large turn out of about eighteen people. There was also a lot of returned missionaries of every generation and it was a great experience.
I had an exchange with Elder Wright. That was a great exchange and I learned a lot from him. We also had a miracle from it, like I say miracles always happen during exchanges. About a month ago Elder Caballero and I met a young man on the bus named Will. We talked to him and placed a Book of Mormon with him, never to see him again. During the exchange we ran into Will and we were able to have a lesson with him on the spot. I was quite amazed on how well he understood the message and I am looking forward to meeting with him again.
So I hope you have a great week and I will too. Till next time.
Love Elder Corbin
