April 24th 2011

It is really heating up over here, it was recorded to be the hottest day in the month of april in the last 100 years. I think it got up to be about 80, wow that is unbelievable. If i remeber right i think i was still a little cold. I am always doing my best to stay positive and focussed on what the Lord wants me to learn.

This last weekend has been great and not only because it was Easter, we also met a wonderful new investigator. Church on Easter Sunday was good because it was all about remembering what Christ has done and his resurrection. I learned a lot about what happened the three days that lead up to Christ's resurrection. We also received plenty support from the ward which some of the members gave us food for the Easter Sunday and it only shows how much they care for us. The Rhyl ward is amazing and I love the members, they are all so nice. I am glad you had a great Easter as well, say hi to grandma for me.

We met an amazing fifteen year old boy named Leon who is a new investigator. On Thursday morning we were finding in Rhyl and he came running up to us saying he was trying to get a hold of us for a while but felt to embarrassed to approach us with the people around him. He said that he wants to become Christian and be baptized! I was so excited when we met him. We taught him on the spot at the park and he was very knowledgeable about the bible especially for a fifteen year old. He committed to be baptized and he accepted a Book of Mormon. Now I can't wait to meet with him again, which is tonight.

Also i dont think i told you this yet but remember how i like to wake myself up at night to enjoy how much time i have left to sleep, well so does Elder Eliason so we set the alarm every night. Its awesome. haha. We also barrowed the boche ball set and played for our excersise this morning. I got worked it is nothing like the playstation.

Things are great here in Rhyl, everything is so green. they have some amazing cerial i just know riley would love. it is like captain crunch but with milk choclate in the middle. haha, i am also eating more healthy than i was back home. Elder Tellem, from wales, is a great cook and makes great pasta and spagetti. They also have this great thing called "squash", its a really thick juice that you put in a cup and dilute it with cold water. its so much better than putting powder in the water. It has officially replaced Dr. Pepper for the two years. I know everyone in the family would love it so im going to bring it to america when i come home and make it rich.

We are getting a ton of things accomplished here in Rhyl. we lost an important investigator, ask shea about the story, i wrote it in her email. But we have a great progressing investigator who's name is Kirsty, she is very accepting of the teachings we give her and has a stong desire to know more. She came to a session of General Conference on Sunday and she said it was a great experience. She and her two daughters want to come back next week. We are so excited for her and she is by far our most progressing investigator.

Cameron wrote a letter to me and told me how he walked in the house on sunday when dad was sick sleeping on the couch and he wakes up to cameron standing there and gets up fast and says "what day is it?!" hahaha. i almost died laughing. The Elders and i went shopping at ASDA (pronounced as it says : as duhh) and it is the wal-mart owned grocerie store. It was so packed and people are just flying off the walls with their mini shoppingcarts while the lady over the intercom says "clean up on isle 96" in a british accent. its like they had never seen such a store because all the other crocerie stores are small and only the locals go to their personal convenince store but for asda people fly in from germany just to see what its all about.
